The old road of the seven
bridges - Sette ponti winds itself between the river Arno and the
Pratomagno, starting from the Etruscan town of Arezzo and ending nearly in
Florence, the peak city of the renaissance. The route takes you through typical Tuscan
countryside between the regions of Casentino and Chianti, In its central part the road
encounters Castelfranco di Sopra. During each season of the year the visitor is offered
the rolling hills, vineyards, olive groves and mountain woods in a harmony of nature,
history and culture. You are surrounded with farmhouses, and mansions with their own
production of olive oil and wine, natural reserves, the mythical territory of the
Cliff Crags, and the solemn simplicity of old monasteries and churches. Here
the traveller can embrace the particular atmosphere of the typical Tuscan gastronomy and
enjoy the serenity of the area
